How we handle the data you entrust to us when you publish and verify predictions on aiternam.

Who we are
aiternam.com is a service operated from France by the aiternam team, which acts as the data controller for the personal data processed through the platform. For any privacy matter you can reach us at contact@aiternam.com.
Data we collect
We collect only what we need to run your account, publish your predictions, and — with your consent — understand how predictions are seen and shared.
- Account data — your email address and display name, used to sign you in, secure your account, and contact you about your activity.
- Predictions — the forecasts you publish, which are immutable and public by design, together with their timestamps and integrity proofs.
- Audience cookie — the optional atn_cx cookie, which counts anonymous views and shares of predictions. It is set only after you accept cookies and is never tied to your identity.
- Traffic measurement — aggregate page views, referring sites and approximate country, collected without cookies and without device fingerprinting. These figures are aggregated and cannot be traced back to you or to your account.
Lawful basis
We process your data on the following lawful bases: the performance of our contract with you, for creating and running your account and for publishing and displaying your predictions; your consent, for the optional atn_cx audience cookie, which you can withdraw at any time; our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, preventing abuse of the reputation system, and preserving the integrity of the public prediction record, and measuring aggregate traffic to the site by means that identify no one; and, where applicable, compliance with our legal obligations.
Data retention
Published predictions are retained indefinitely as part of an immutable, timestamped public record — this permanence is the core purpose of the service and cannot be reversed once a prediction is sealed. Account data (email, display name, profile) is kept for as long as your account is open and deleted within 30 days of account closure, unless we must keep it longer to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute. The anonymous audience signals tied to the atn_cx cookie are kept for at most 13 months.
Who else processes your data
We keep the list of third parties deliberately short, and name all of them here. Google Cloud hosts the service and its database in the europe-west1 region (Belgium). Mailjet delivers our transactional email — sign-in codes and password resets. Cloudflare provides DNS for the domain and the cookieless traffic measurement described in the Cookie Policy. Each acts only on our instructions; none of them receives your data for its own purposes, and none of them receives it for advertising.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can exercise the following rights over your personal data. Note that published predictions are immutable by design, so deleting your account does not retract forecasts already on the public record.
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Erasure — request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to the immutability of published predictions.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection and withdrawal — object to processing or withdraw your cookie consent at any time.
Contact
To exercise any of these rights, or for any question about this policy, contact us at contact@aiternam.com. We respond within one month. If you are in the EU or UK and believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — in France, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
